PINTA Miami 2021
The painter Teresa Pajares with the Martín de Vidales Art Gallery have been invited to participate in the fifteenth edition of the PINTA Miami fair in the Solo Project section curated as in other editions by Luis Fumero and Oscar Roldán.
PINTA Miami, among the best fairs that are held in the art week of this American city, is a benchmark in Ibero-American art for collectors, professionals, museums, and institutions around the world. In the fifteenth edition the curators Roc Laseca and Luis Fumero have selected the Spanish painter Teresa Pajares together with the Martín de Vidales Art gallery as one of the carefully selected individual projects for the SOLO projects section.
Teresa Pajares has a PhD in Fine Arts and has been a Professor for 29 years at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Pontevedra at the University of Vigo in Galicia. The curator and director of PAC (Plataforma de Arte Contemporáneo) Oscar García García writes about Teresa Pajares that she can enhance the transience of time and the poetic delicacy of the materials, many times through repetition and reiteration, in a decontextualizing process, where narration and memory converge in a sublime way. Teresa Pajares experiments playing with textures, materials, and volumes, finding in everyday materials the channel to configure her artistic argument. In this way, the elements of her resignified and elevated from her to the category of her art make us participants and aware of our environment.
